Humiliated, he vanished without trace, compelling his daughter Kasumi to pursue vengeance against the Kyokugenryu heirs to reclaim their family’s honor.

Years later, Todoh resurfaced in narratives as a recluse, having retreated into self-imposed exile to refine his techniques for a long-awaited rematch. His character gradually transitioned from a rigid traditionalist to an unexpectedly humorous figure, frequently appearing in cameos that showcased his exaggerated emotional outbursts—cheering tearfully at Kasumi’s tournament triumphs or theatrically lamenting her setbacks from the sidelines.
