Description
Reigning from Caislean Merlin's throne over Cyfandir, Queen Reina Boudica succeeded her late husband, King Prasutagus. She commands the Order of Knight-Sorcerers, protectors of both infected and non-infected citizens. Her infection dramatically reshaped her, granting an immense stature exceeding five times human height and distinctive turquoise hair, frequently decorated with flowers. She bears a crown featuring deer antlers and wields a scepter capped with three memory stones from past kings: Prasutagus, Taran, and Ogmios. Facial burns sustained in battle against the Inquisition lead her to conceal the left side of her face with her hair.
Her personality merges regal authority with rebellion. She enforces strict formalities, demanding subjects kneel with both knees, and openly acknowledges her own beauty. Despite her station, she displays profound responsibility and courage, personally leading her forces against threats like the Inquisition. Deep maternal instincts drive her to volunteer as surrogate mother, carrying and gestating the unborn children of the deceased Myr and Yggdrajill. She forms a close bond with Ocoho, an apprentice Knight-Sorcerer, ultimately naming the young woman her heir.
Her abilities stem from her infection and the kings' memory stones. The stones enable her to cast their signature spells: Niwl conjures an impassable smoke barrier deflecting projectiles; Mellt summons storm clouds targeting foes with lightning; Carreg conjures stone menhirs that form guardians or attack directly. She also employs Sevenfold Shields—seven floating shields stored in a jeweled armband—for automated defense against projectiles.
During the Inquisition's siege of Caislean Merlin, she defiantly rejects their surrender demands and leads the defense. Though overpowered by Inquisitor Santori, she later aids in destroying the Inquisition's Fantasia Void generator by physically blocking it, enabling allies to dismantle the device. Following the battle, she initiates sweeping societal reforms, abolishing discrimination between infected and non-infected citizens and addressing past governance flaws. She encourages her heir, Ocoho, to travel and gain broader perspectives before assuming rulership.
