Description
Kaishō Taki commands the Special Security Force, a government unit tasked with eliminating the communist terrorist group Red May through lethal operations. He directs field agents and oversees counter-terrorism activities. Taki firmly rejects external scientific interference, specifically refusing Dr. Ichihara's proposals to cybernetically enhance his personnel despite potential tactical benefits.

He personally authorizes and monitors the brutal interrogation of captured Red May leader Tachihara, employing extreme physical coercion that inflicts severe physiological damage, including maggot-infested wounds. Taki's operational choices later face internal scrutiny over their strategic effectiveness, particularly concerning prisoner handling and awareness of hidden conspiracies.

His investigation exposes a high-level conspiracy led by Tokyo Governor Maisaka, linking the terrorist attacks to a covert scheme transforming Hokkaido into a nuclear waste disposal site for foreign interests. Original Japanese dialogue identifies these interests as American Jewish investors controlling political and corporate entities, while English adaptations replace this with generic American corporations. Taki confronts Maisaka directly in their final clash, voicing fierce opposition to foreign domination and political corruption while physically battling his adversary.

During this confrontation, Taki suffers life-threatening gunshot wounds but successfully plants an explosive device disguised as a tape recorder near Maisaka. The detonation kills Maisaka and his associate Togawa. Despite severe blood loss from his injuries, Taki escapes the immediate aftermath. His ultimate fate remains undetermined beyond surviving this encounter. His narrative role and background show no substantive differences between anime and manga adaptations.
