Description
Holy Kujo, also known as Holly Joestar or Seiko Kujo, is the daughter of Joseph Joestar and Suzi Q, born in 1942. She married a Japanese jazz musician and became the mother of Jotaro Kujo. As a member of the Joestar family, she bears the family's distinctive star-shaped birthmark on the back of her left shoulder.

Holy is characterized by her sweet and cheerful disposition, often described as genial and carefree. She maintains a positive outlook, even when faced with her son's outwardly rude behavior, as she perceives his underlying compassion. Her gentle nature extends to strangers, exemplified when she tended to Noriaki Kakyoin's wounds. After moving to Japan, she adopted Japanese culture, acclimating well and taking the Japanese name Seiko, meaning "holy child." Despite her age, she exhibits a youthful and sometimes childish demeanor, such as playfully tickling her father in public.

The central conflict involving Holy occurs during the Stardust Crusaders arc. Following the awakening of DIO, a vampire and longstanding enemy of the Joestar family, Holy manifests a Stand ability. However, due to her non-violent and gentle personality, she lacks the necessary fighting spirit to control it. This inability causes her Stand to remain dormant and act as a parasitic force, inducing a severe fever and gradually deteriorating her health, with fatal consequences expected within approximately 50 days if left untreated. Her life-threatening condition serves as the primary catalyst for her son Jotaro and her father Joseph's journey to Egypt to confront and defeat DIO, as his defeat would cease the Stand's manifestation and save her life. The quest is successful, and after DIO's defeat, Holy recovers fully from her illness.

Holy's Stand remains unnamed and is not fully realized due to her inability to control it. It manifests visually as a raspberry plant or vines on her back, though it possesses no known combat abilities and instead negatively impacts her health.

Holy appears in various adaptations and media. In video games such as *JoJo RPG* and *Heritage for the Future*, she appears in cutscenes that mirror the events of the manga. She is also seen briefly in flashbacks within the anime adaptation of *Battle Tendency*, depicted as a young girl at her great-grandmother Erina's deathbed.

Holy Kujo's role, while not predominant in terms of screen time, is pivotal to the plot of *Stardust Crusaders*. Her illness directly motivates the journey of the main protagonists. Her marriage into the Kujo family represents a significant branching of the Joestar lineage, which has implications for future storylines in the series.
