Yellow Belmont, a 22-year-old soldier in the First Earth Recapture Force, enlisted partly encouraged by his father, a former fleet commander. He fought in the failed mission to retake Earth from the Inbit invaders. Crash-landing in South America, he was rescued and healed by Carla, a woman from a town collaborating with the Inbit. During his recovery, a romance blossomed, and they planned to escape together. Ultimately, driven by duty to liberate Earth, he left Carla behind to rejoin the fight.

His naturally feminine appearance allowed Yellow to adopt a convincing female singer disguise. This persona enabled undetected movement through Inbit-controlled settlements, effectively covering espionage activities. He gathered intelligence on the Inbit while gaining fame as an entertainer. His performances distracted enemy forces and rallied local resistance support. Years later, performing in a bar, he encountered freedom fighters Stick Bernard, Ray, and Mint. After this meeting, he abandoned his solo career to join their group.

Within the team, Yellow's ability to switch between soldier and singer identities proved invaluable. It facilitated infiltration missions, allowing the group to gather supplies and complete objectives in heavily monitored areas. During the conflict, he encountered Solzie, a humanoid Invid created through alien adaptation experiments. Their unexpected first meeting near a waterfall sparked interactions where Solzie developed sympathies for humans. A bond formed, influencing her gradual shift in allegiance.

In the final assault on the Invid stronghold at Reflex Point, Yellow played a crucial combat role in dismantling the occupation. After the group convinced the Invid Regess to evacuate Earth, the members separated. Yellow eventually settled into a quieter life, sharing a cabin with Solzie on Earth, as depicted in the later OVA, marking his transition from soldier and performer to peace.
