Description
Golg Boddole Zer commanded the Zentradi 118th Main Fleet, a vast force of 4,795,122 ships, occupying the highest rank within their military hierarchy during Space War I.

Biologically fused with the systems of his flagship, the colossal 600-kilometer-wide Gol Boddole Zer-class mobile fortress, he functioned as its living command computer. This integration, centered within the fortress's 150-kilometer spherical command section, granted him direct control over operations, self-repair, and fold systems. The fortress housed 5,000 Zentradi vessels and mounted the devastating Gol Gantz Cannon, capable of obliterating equivalent fortresses in one shot. His biological core's destruction would collapse the entire structure.

His history spanned over 120,000 cycles, commanding the Zentradi 425th Main Fleet flagship in prolonged conflicts against the Meltrandi before encountering humanity. In Space War I, he ordered the tracking and capture of the SDF-1 Macross, initiating hostilities. As human culture spread among Zentradi forces, including subordinates Vrlitwhai Kridanik and Moruk Lap Lamiz, he perceived it as contamination threatening their order. In response, he commanded his entire main fleet to fold to Earth in 2010, aiming to eradicate the SDF-1 Macross, defecting Zentradi, and Earth's population.

At the Battle of Altira, he initially proposed a truce and military pact with the SDF-1 Macross to acquire a rediscovered Protoculture song as a weapon against the Meltrandi. When this failed, his fleet bombarded the ancient Protoculture city of Altira shortly after the SDF-1's departure. During combat, he deployed the Gol Gantz Cannon, annihilating Moruk Lap Lamiz's Meltrandi mobile fortress and tens of thousands of allied Zentradi vessels caught in its path. This act provoked a mutiny, with Vrlitwhai Kridanik joining the SDF-1 and surviving Meltrandi units against him.

The assault culminated in the SDF-1 Macross penetrating his mobile fortress, enabling pilot Hikaru Ichijyo in a VF-1S Strike Valkyrie to attack deep within. Ichijyo's strike killed Golg Boddole Zer. His death caused the immediate collapse of the fortress's biological control systems, triggering catastrophic fold system failure and rapid structural decay.

A derelict Gol Boddole Zer-class mobile fortress, destroyed by the Vajra insectoid aliens approximately 50 years earlier, appeared in 2059 as a Vajra nesting site. It became a strategic objective for combined New United Nations Spacy and SMS forces during their operations.
