Description
Roi Sven, the Danish monarch, conquered vast territories in England and Wales while ruling his northern realms. His reign relied on strategic intellect, ferocity, and ruthless tactics to maintain iron control.

An elderly man, he bears multiple skin conditions, deep wrinkles, and several missing front teeth. He possesses a full head of black hair and a distinct beard often groomed into two opposing spikes. He typically wears royal red and purple mantles and golden crowns symbolizing his dual kingship over Denmark and England. He attributes his obsessive drive for power directly to the influence of these personally significant crowns.

His personality exhibits a profound lust for domination, extending beyond territory to all aspects of his authority. This compels him to extreme measures against perceived threats, including family. He shows minimal emotional connection to his children, harboring particular resentment towards his younger son. This was exemplified when, as a child, that son presented a personally cooked meal, only to be harshly rebuked with the declaration that cooking is slave labor. He openly views this son as a burden and obstacle to his preferred elder heir.

A core belief underpinning his actions is the conviction that the crown exerts a divine-like will over its wearer, driving kings into an inescapable cycle of power acquisition and control – a pattern he observed in his father and then experienced himself. This belief later manifests in his successor.

Key narrative events define him: He tasked a mercenary commander with assassinating his younger son, offering Wales' freedom in exchange while exploiting the commander's personal history with Welsh slavery. During war strategy, he dismissed concerns about the younger son's capabilities, preferring his elder heir and implying the younger's potential demise was inconsequential. His assassination occurred when that same mercenary commander, faced with an ultimatum to kill the prince or condemn Wales, beheaded him during a court gathering. His corpse was depicted in the ensuing chaos.

Despite death, his influence persists. His successor experiences recurring visions of him, engaging in imagined conversations where his domineering presence and ideology exert psychological pressure, often arising during the successor's critical decision-making moments.

The character draws inspiration from the historical Sweyn Forkbeard.
