Lynn Kaifun, son of restaurant owners Lynn Shaochin and Lynn Feichun, managed the family establishment Minsharou in Macross City's Chinatown. A committed pacifist, he opposed military forces, believing the SDF-1 Macross instigated the Unification Wars. He resisted his family's move to South Ataria Island and later traveled the world before reuniting with his cousin Lynn Minmay in Yokohama in November 2009. When Space War I erupted, he boarded the SDF-1 Macross to join his parents and Minmay. His pacifism hardened during the conflict, leading him to categorically reject all military personnel, refusing gestures such as Misa Hayase's offered handkerchief. He utilized mass media to broadcast anti-war messages, frequently confronting military defenders of Macross City. Professionally, he managed Minmay's singing career and starred in the film "Shao Pai Long"; his martial arts performances, amplified by special effects, were misinterpreted by the Zentradi as evidence of a powerful warrior. During this time, he publicly claimed a romantic relationship with Minmay, intensifying Hikaru Ichijyo's emotional turmoil. Following Space War I, Kaifun succumbed to alcoholism and abusive behavior, alienating those close to him, including Minmay. He eventually parted ways with her and vanished. Only unverified reports placed him with a counterfeit Fire Bomber band. His subsequent fate is unknown.
