Description
Lady Kayura originates from the ancient Kaos clan, led by the Ancient One and residing near Lake Mitama in Nara Province (formerly Yamato Province). Born on December 12, 1559, she possessed exceptional innate power from childhood and became the Ancient One's designated successor. Her clan was annihilated around 1567 during an attack by the demon lord Talpa (Arago), who killed her parents and abducted her. Talpa and Badamon used a golden amulet to suppress her memories and control her, making her believe she had always served the Dynasty in the Nether Realm. She has long dark blue hair and eyes, stands 158 cm tall, and weighs 44 kg. When under Talpa's influence, distinctive red streaks appear around her eyes.

During her enslavement, Kayura was forged into Talpa's most powerful warrior. She wielded extreme arrogance, confidence, and loyalty to Talpa while despising others. Her primary weapons were twin jitte (Starlight Swords or Sei Rei Ken), capable of magical extension. Her signature attack, Ran Sei Zan (Storm Star Cut or Star Sword Scream), often manifested with swirling wisteria blossoms, symbolizing her association with spring. Her abilities included teleportation, energy projection, and creating defensive barriers. She wore minimal armor dominated by light brown, gold, and dark brown hues, with the control amulet prominently displayed on her chest.

Her character arc pivoted during the conflict with the Ronin Warriors. The amulet's control weakened temporarily after being scratched by White Blaze, causing emotional turmoil. Later, the Dark Warlord Anubis discovered her true heritage in battle. He sacrificed himself, using his Quake With Fear attack and transferring his Armor of Cruelty to her, shattering the amulet. This broke Badamon's possession, freeing Kayura from Talpa's influence and restoring her memories and true personality—later revealed as gentle, compassionate, and dedicated to peace. The red streaks vanished from her eyes.

Liberated, Kayura inherited Anubis' Armor of Cruelty (Oni armor), which she wore without a helmet. She wielded the Ancient One's staff (shakujo) and allied with the Ronin Warriors and reformed Dark Warlords to confront Talpa. Her powers expanded to command the staff's light energy, and she played a crucial role in Talpa's final defeat using the Jewel of Life. Post-victory, she returned to the Nether Realm with the former Dark Warlords to rebuild and uphold the Ancient One's legacy. In the manga and OVA "Message," she mentored the new bearer of the Wildfire Armor.

Her abilities include water-based attacks when near water sources, creating energy funnels and sonic blasts. She dislikes slugs and enjoys traditional Japanese dance. Personality assessments in some sources describe traits like empathy or assertiveness, which remain interpretive analyses.
