Description
George Buxton, eldest son of Edward Buxton and his late wife Anna, shares a profound bond with his younger sister Jane, nurturing her fascination with flight and encouraging her dream of building a flying machine. Displaying early scientific aptitude, he researches legends of "azurium" – a cerulean sand with rumored anti-gravity properties. Despite academic skepticism, he secures a place on Professor Barsac's expedition to the Near East to validate his theories. Before departing, George promises Jane they will build a flying machine together upon his return.

His stepbrother William, harboring deep resentment, discovers and steals George's research notes. Shortly after George leaves, the family receives official notification of his execution for treason. Unbeknownst to them, George survives and assumes the alias "Professor Camaret" in the hidden technological enclave of Neo-City. William manipulates George into believing he caused a fatal laboratory explosion, leveraging this guilt to coerce him into developing advanced flying machines using azurium.

Throughout his captivity, George remains unaware that William rules Neo-City as "Harry Killer" or that the city relies on slavery and exploitation. His work focuses on practical azurium applications, resulting in functional aircraft prototypes. Jane's arrival in Neo-City eventually reunites them, though George initially resists revealing his identity to protect her. During Neo-City's collapse and the airship's destruction, George and William sacrifice themselves to save Jane, forcing her into the sole escape glider and severing its ropes to ensure her safety, resulting in their deaths.

Jane inherits George's passion for flight and later adopts his ideals, ensuring his legacy endures. His character exemplifies unwavering dedication to scientific discovery amid manipulation and tragedy.
