Description
Ibaragi Dohji serves as a loyal subordinate to Shuten Dōji, the enigmatic leader of the Oeyama bandits later unveiled as Ohni-hime. Under her command, he plays an active role in destabilizing the capital through orchestrated raids and covert political schemes. Aligned with the noble Fujiwara no Michinaga, he aids in exploiting turmoil to advance the bandits’ ambitions, catalyzing events like the capital’s fiery destruction and the abduction of Kintoki—a linchpin of Minamoto no Raikō’s forces.

His allegiance to Shuten Dōji anchors his identity, driving him to execute strategies that intertwine brute force with calculated subterfuge. By manipulating epidemics and stoking civil discord, he systematically weakens the capital’s defenses. As a secondary antagonist, Ibaragi Dohji sharpens the conflict between Raikō’s warriors and the Oeyama insurgents, embodying the volatile fusion of martial aggression and shadow politics that fuels the era’s chaos.
