Description
Yukiko Tatsumiya is the daughter of Yukari Tatsumiya, born under traumatic circumstances through Yasunori Kato's dark magic ritual forcibly impregnating Yukari. Her biological father is later revealed to be Yukari's brother, Yoichiro Tatsumiya, via an act of non-consensual incest.

As a descendant of Taira no Masakado, Yukiko inherits potent spiritual abilities, making her a target for Kato's plan to awaken Masakado's vengeful spirit and destroy Tokyo. During the 1923 Great Kantō earthquake, Kato kidnaps the young Yukiko—then approximately 10–14 years old—to use her as a medium for Masakado's spirit at his gravesite. The ritual fails when Masakado rejects Kato's control, but the unleashed spiritual energy awakens an underground dragon, triggering the catastrophic earthquake.

Years later, during Tokyo's subway construction in 1927, Kato again targets the teenage Yukiko. He infiltrates the Tatsumiya household, overpowers its defenses, and abducts her for a sacrificial ritual intended to amplify the underground dragon's destructive power. During this ritual, Yukiko is stripped and subjected to physical and psychological torment, including explicit body horror as Kato attempts to merge her with the dragon's energy. The ritual is interrupted when the robot Gakutensoku disrupts the dragon's energy veins, freeing Yukiko but leaving her traumatized.

Yukiko's psychological struggles stem from her traumatic origins and repeated victimization. She grapples with the revelation of her incestuous conception, leading to moments where Yoichiro attempts to strangle her in guilt and rage. Her relationship with her mother is strained by Yukari's mental instability; Yukiko often assumes a caretaker role, reversing typical parent-child dynamics. In non-anime media, such as the sequel film *Tokyo: The Last War*, Yukiko experiences nightmares where Kato emerges from her chest, symbolizing her lingering trauma.

Throughout her appearances, Yukiko serves primarily as a passive vessel for supernatural forces. Her character arc concludes without significant empowerment, remaining defined by her suffering and exploitation by Kato and the narrative's malevolent forces.
