Description
Walken, last known survivor of the Native American Skookum Tribe, serves as an assassin for the covert organization Doress. He possesses an imposing physical stature: tall, heavily muscled, with long unkempt dark hair, sharp teeth, and a perpetually severe expression. His attire typically includes a pelt jacket exposing his chest, plain trousers, arm guards, and specialized headphones critical for regulating his immense psychic abilities. Damage or removal of this headgear causes his powers to spiral out of control, triggering indiscriminate destruction.
His personality centers on a warrior ethos, viewing combat as life's ultimate purpose. He seeks worthy opponents, demonstrating respect by carving a blood marking into his own chest upon acknowledging an adversary's strength. This ritual symbolizes both honor and a death sentence for the opponent. He executes missions ruthlessly without personal malice, exemplified when he atomizes fellow assassin Dorudo for failure. When his limiter is compromised, he descends into uncontrolled violence, fixated solely on revenge.
Recognized as Earth's most powerful psychic, his abilities manipulate matter at the molecular level. Primary techniques include psychokinesis for vibration-based liquefaction or disintegration of any matter, creating defensive barriers, reshaping materials, or carving deep pits through bedrock; the Molecular Vacuum Wave, a sphere of vibrating air molecules hurled to disintegrate targets; the Molecular Seismic Wave, which liquefies surfaces to immobilize opponents; and clairvoyance to foresee locations and track targets. Without his limiter, these powers escalate exponentially, generating seismic-scale vibrations that destabilize entire facilities and passively reduce nearby matter to dust. He also exhibits superhuman endurance, surviving 60,000-volt electrocution and a blade embedded in his skull, though the latter caused brain damage.
His narrative involvement begins when Doress tortures the psychic girl Sumire to lure Baoh (Ikuro Hashizawa). Walken executes Dorudo for incompetence and intercepts Baoh's assault on the Doress facility. During their confrontation, he traps Baoh by molecularly reconstructing a wall around his arm. Baoh retaliates by severing his own arm and launching a blade that pierces Walken's skull, destroying the limiter. Walken survives the injury but suffers brain damage and enters a psychically unstable rampage, causing earthquakes and slaughtering Doress personnel indiscriminately. He pursues Baoh and Sumire into an underground cavern, where Baoh ultimately kills him using a redirected laser cannon blast.
