Description
Robert J. Hanner, a retired United Planets Space Force admiral and war hero, retains considerable influence in military matters despite needing technological assistance for mobility. His speech is often difficult to understand, yet he effectively communicates his points.
He lives in retirement, cared for by his twin daughters, Emi and Yumi Hanner. When captured alongside his daughters and UPSF officer Yuriko Star during a terrorist incident and held hostage to extort the UPSF, they were rescued by Justy Ueki Tylor's unconventional actions. This fostered a lasting fondness in Hanner towards Tylor.
Hanner is deeply concerned for his daughters' safety and frequently voices this worry. While generally content to follow others' lead in daily routines, he becomes stern and insistent when confronting critical issues. His perspective on military conflict was acknowledged by Raalgon Empire Captain Ru Baraba Dom, who stated after Hanner's death that he truly understood the essence of war.
Hanner's death profoundly impacted Tylor, contributing to Tylor's disillusionment with military service and ultimate resignation from the UPSF.
