Description
Noriyuki "Nori" Nakamachi is the older son of Shinobu Nakamachi, head of the Nakamachi Circus. He acts as a reliable big brother within the troupe, especially towards his younger sibling Hiroo "Hiro" Nakamachi. Their family-run circus becomes entwined with Masaru Saiga and Shirogane after the pair join their group. Following the bankruptcy of the Straw Circus, the Nakamachi Circus also incorporates former members Morobi Mitsu'ushi and his son Naota.
His given name, Noriyuki, combines the kanji for "chronicle" (紀) and "this" (之). While his nickname "Nori" is typically written in katakana (ノリ), it could also use the kanji for "ceremony" or "rites" (儀). The surname Nakamachi signifies "relation/relationship" (仲) and "town" or "street" (町).
Nori actively participates in the Nakamachi Circus's performances and daily operations alongside his family and troupe members. He and Hiro showcase their skills during circus acts, including attempts to impress Shirogane. The circus also takes part in events such as the Beach Queen Contest. Throughout the series, Nori maintains his consistent role as a supportive figure within the family circus environment.
