Description
Kōji Tongari, nicknamed Tongari, emerges from wealth as a timid, emotionally fragile child known for tearful outbursts. Initially serving as the boastful sidekick to bully Kumada Kaourou, he antagonizes Eiichi Kite and the robot Korosuke, participating in their schemes. His role evolves from minor antagonist to comedic foil, forging loyal bonds with Kite and Korosuke while enduring relentless teasing from Butagorira.

A top student, Tongari attends nightly cram schools, his academic brilliance occasionally startling Kite. Yet he battles pseudomyopia and childhood incontinence, the latter earning him the cruel kindergarten moniker "Pee-in-the-piss Ton-chan." His privileged life fuels a passion for cutting-edge gadgets, video games, and mini 4WDs, underscoring both his wealth and technical flair.

Artistically gifted, Tongari clinched a local children’s drawing contest and painted a public bathhouse mural. Elementary-school manga submissions mirrored the series creator’s style, though dismissed as impulsive. Kite’s "Past Life Detector" once exposed his cockroach reincarnation, plunging him into mortified despair.

Obedient yet conflicted, Tongari rigidly follows his mother’s rules, seeking her approval for every decision. Secret rebellions surface—like brief boxing gym visits to combat bullying stress—abandoned once discovered. Failed attempts to harness Kite’s inventions for confidence highlight his comedic downfalls.

Mischievous and romantically fickle, Tongari delights in pranking Korosuke and cycles through fleeting relationships. Summers unfold at his family’s Hyakujo Island villa, reached by private jet. Beneath the opulence lies compassion: he adopts a stray cat that rescued him, but only after securing his mother’s consent.

Over time, Tongari sheds some cowardice, growing into a steadier, if still flawed, ally. Post-high school, he enrolls at Takao University, balancing academic ambition with enduring insecurities. His journey weaves privilege, vulnerability, and loyalty into a tapestry of humor and incremental growth.
