Description
Colonel Killing, formally holding the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, commanded forces for the Principality of Zeon during the final phase of the Universal Century 0079 One Year War. Operationally assigned to Kycilia Zabi's Mobile Assault Force, he harbored fierce personal loyalty to Gihren Zabi, whose ideologies dictated his actions.

Stationed in Italy before Operation Rubicon, Killing concealed withdrawal orders from a collaborating mayor after Zeon's defeat at Odessa. He intended to sacrifice civilians as bait to stall Federation forces, enabling his Cyclops Team's retreat to Granada. This sparked unit dissent, with members defying orders to abandon the civilians. Killing confronted them with a drawn pistol—rhetorically turning it on himself—while justifying his stance by citing prior losses and preserving his men. During withdrawal, he disclosed their covert transport of Cold War-era nuclear missiles to space.

In December U.C. 0079, Killing initiated Operation Rubicon to destroy the Federation's RX-78NT-1 Gundam "Alex" in neutral Side 6. After the mission failed and the Cyclops Team perished, he murdered superior Major General Rugens for vetoing his backup strategy. Killing then ordered a nuclear strike on Side 6, violating the Antarctic Treaty by targeting the colony with prohibited warheads at 12:00 am Christmas Day. He tasked Colonel Von Helsing's *Graf Zeppelin*-led fleet to execute the bombardment.

Federation forces intercepted and captured Von Helsing's fleet pre-launch, seizing the warheads. Killing's fate remains ambiguous in the *War in the Pocket* narrative. Supplementary sources conflict: *MS ERA* claims he shot himself before Gihren's portrait upon learning of Gihren's death, while *Gundam Perfect File* suggests unclear circumstances and potential staged suicide.

In adaptations like *SD Gundam G Generation*, Killing personally leads the nuclear fleet, becoming targetable during gameplay.
