Description
Farah, a member of the indigenous psychic Ra people native to Garaga, is discovered by the crew of the crashed cargo ship XeBeC when they awaken her life capsule. She immediately demonstrates telepathic abilities, sending psychic instructions to protagonist Jay during a battle against a giant monster, revealing crucial knowledge for its defeat and establishing her connection to Garaga's mysteries as a guide. Her background places her within the planet's political conflicts; her father, ruler of the Ra, betrays their cause after being brainwashed by the android antagonist Alf Dorf. Farah becomes entangled in Alf Dorf's genocidal plot to exterminate organic life, which involves manipulating factions like the uplifted apemen Umlanga to eradicate the Ra and stage an invasion. She actively opposes this plan, confronting the forces threatening her people. During the climax, as Alf Dorf initiates the destruction of the orbiting space station and its weapons systems, Farah telepathically unites the collective psychic power of her people to successfully destroy the station, preventing catastrophic damage to Garaga. Interpersonal dynamics include a rivalry with her sister for Jay's affections, adding a personal layer to her interactions with the crash survivors alongside her mission to protect her civilization.
