Samurai Calibur, also known as Calibur, supports the Hyper Agent Gridman as part of the Neon Genesis Junior High Students. He transforms into the Assist Weapon Gridman Calibur, designated the "Electrifying Great Sword." In human form, he appears as a hunchbacked individual with medium-length black hair partially covering his face, blue eyes, and stubble. He typically wears a gray shirt, black tie, black pants, and a jacket featuring a distinctive purplish mark on the left shoulder. He carries four katana blades on his back, having initially possessed five.
Arriving in Tsutsujidai, Calibur intervened to save Hime Kudzuki from a falling truck, an event granting her the ability to perceive hidden monsters. During a later kaiju attack at a cafe, he entrusted one of his five swords to Hime, enabling her transformation via the Samurai Barrier Gear smartphone app. This act linked their duties, and they encountered a mysterious girl observing them, prompting further investigation. Within the main series, Calibur monitored Yuta Hibiki after his public appearance with amnesia and witnessed Ghoulghilas attack their school. He later optimized the Junk computer to enhance Gridman's capabilities and assisted the Gridman Alliance in investigating disappearances.
