Description
Ultraman Leo begins as prince of Planet L77 in the Leo constellation, mastering Space Martial Arts alongside his younger twin brother Astra and the amnesiac Ultraman Regulos on Planet D60 in the Draco constellation. Alien Magma and the Giras monsters annihilate his home world, forcing him to adopt Earth after becoming one of the few survivors.
He takes the human guise of Gen Otori, enlisting in Earth's Monster Attacking Crew (MAC) under Commander Dan Moroboshi, the human form of the injured Ultraseven. His initial struggles demand rigorous training to forge devastating techniques like the Leo Kick. Tragedy strikes when the saucer monster Silver Bloome destroys MAC, leaving Leo as Earth's sole guardian. Key events include reuniting with his brother Astra—rescued by Ultraman King after being presumed dead—and earning status as an Ultra Brother by aiding the recovery of the Ultra Key.
Later, he mentors new warriors on the Land of Light, rigorously training Ultraman Mebius—testing his resolve to defend Earth—and Ultraman Zero through intense combat exercises against foes like Belial and Darklops Zero. His combat style emphasizes martial arts and physical power, featuring signature techniques such as the Leo Kick, Leo Cross Beam, and the Ultra Double Flasher performed jointly with Astra.
In the OVA *Ultraman: Chō Tōshi Gekiden - Suisei Senjin Tsuifon Tōjō*, Leo joins a team comprising Ultraman Taro, Jack, Ace, Ace Killer, and Astra.
