Description
Kissing Zoa Nebulis IX, a royal of the Nebulis Sovereignty’s Zoa lineage, transitions from antagonist to reluctant ally. Raised under her uncle On Zoa Nebulis’s tyrannical tutelage, she endured brutal conditioning that instilled emotionless obedience and a willingness to self-sacrifice, leaving her voice flat and demeanor unnervingly mechanical. Despite her hollow exterior, she safeguards allies from her own lethal astral power, the "Thorns"—a force that annihilates physical matter on contact yet can reverse destruction. These thorns manifest as shields, projectile-destroying barriers, or serpentine constructs like the Dragon of Thorns, though they falter against non-corporeal astral beings.

Her secondary ability, Astral Spirit Visualization, reveals the astral essence within living beings, a skill that exposed Elletear Lou Nebulis IX’s monstrous metamorphosis, triggering visceral horror. Traumatized by Elletear’s betrayal, which left On comatose, Kissing spiraled into vengeful rage, assaulting the Central Base before Iska subdued her. Conceding defeat, she bargained her service to him in exchange for aid in hunting Elletear, her primary nemesis.

Though fixated on destroying Elletear, Kissing gradually adapts to collaboration. Her rivalry with Mei, an Imperial Saint Disciple, tempers into uneasy teamwork against shared foes, while her bond with Iska shifts from hostility to reliance—clinging to his side during missions, sparking Aliceliese’s irritation. Brief cracks in her stoicism surface when confronting On’s helplessness or isolation’s torment.

Pivotal in crises like neutralizing the Great Star Disaster and purging corrupted spirits in the Catalysc Disaster Zone, her Thorns prove indispensable in navigating lethal astral hazards. Her insistence on proximity to Iska underscores her dependency, even as she persuades factions like Shanorotte Gregory and Mizerhyby Hydra Nebulis IX to unite against existential threats, cementing her role in forging fragile alliances.
