Emma, known as Red Riding Hood, is a Folktale monster from Dungeon World and steadfast companion to Mel Yumegatari. Inspired by the classic Little Red Riding Hood folktale, she exudes a lively, cheerful demeanor, frequently bolstering Mel’s confidence—especially regarding Mel’s affection for Subaru. Her spirited, extroverted nature contrasts Mel’s, and she fosters camaraderie among Mel’s other Folktale allies.

In humanoid form, Emma stands taller than Mel, sporting strawberry blonde hair, bright green eyes, and blue butterfly hair clips. Her outfit features a red hood embellished with green dragon-eye motifs and a pink bow, paired with brown leggings and red-and-pink shoes. A golden heart lock adorns her hood’s center. When transformed into the Illusions Dragon, Red-cape Dragon, her draconic guise emerges: blonde hair, piercing green eyes, and pink coiled horns. Her hood morphs into red-and-white wings and a cape-like tail, her legs shift into crimson talons, and the heart lock transforms into cream with brown-gold detailing.

Emma first met Mel in Aibo Academy’s library (episode 7). Her abilities let her search the deck for Folktale monsters during attacks, placing one into a card’s soul upon destroying an enemy or dealing damage. If destroyed, she enables a card draw and wields Double Attack. A Dungeon World variant, "Dreaming Happiness, Red Riding Hood Emma," exists without defined narrative context.
