Description
Isaburō Yatsushiro, alias Iza, founded the Shinkansen Ultra Evolution Institute and led the Shinkalion Develop Team, pioneering advanced bullet train-based mechas called Shinkalions to combat mysterious threats. A catastrophic accident during the First Ultra Evolution Speed Reaching Experiment caused multiple casualties, including Chikuma Kiyosu, leading to Yatsushiro’s presumed death and disappearance. Surviving in secrecy, he relocated to the Underground World.
Adopting the alias Iza, he emerged as an advisor to the Kitoralsus—a group initially opposing his former allies—while covertly advancing his research agenda. From the shadows, he engineered Shashot, a conductor robot equipped with deep-learning AI, designed to interface between the E5 Hayabusa Shinkalion and its pilot. Shashot’s mission: to push compatibility rates beyond 100%, though Yatsushiro’s involvement remained concealed until uncovered by his former team.
Despite his absence, Yatsushiro’s foundational technologies endured, including the interlock system that synchronized pilot and AI inputs to enhance Shinkalion performance. His disappearance forced surviving team members to refine and deploy the units independently, though early models like the E5 demanded pilots with extraordinary compatibility.
His alias Iza came to embody his transformation from a visionary engineer to an enigmatic orchestrator of the series’ central conflicts, his legacy perpetuated through covert influence and groundbreaking innovations.
