Description
Conny, a small red oni child with twin horns and short gray hair, bears black eyes, a prominent belly button, and a scar across his right arm. He wears yellow shorts adorned with brown stripes. His name fuses the Japanese terms “ko” (child) and “oni” (demon), embodying his identity as a youthful supernatural entity.

Discovered by Tazuki Kamiya, Conny initially faced rejection due to Tazuki’s unresolved guilt over failing to protect a companion from a dragon in his youth. Undeterred, Conny highlighted their shared scars, gradually persuading Tazuki to accept him despite lingering resistance. Their bond thrives on friction: Tazuki masks affection with sharp sarcasm, while Conny retaliates with playful physical jabs, each interaction revealing their unspoken loyalty. A breaking point arises when Tazuki angrily orders Conny away, prompting the oni to flee. This separation compels Tazuki to acknowledge his attachment, culminating in a raw admission that he wishes no harm upon Conny and desires his return.

Mischievous yet compassionate, Conny habitually swipes sweets and struggles to articulate himself verbally, often acting impulsively. His kindness surfaces through subtle acts—collecting medicinal herbs for ailing allies or gifting flowers to atone for misdeeds. These contradictions mirror a childlike quest for approval, balancing pranks with earnest efforts to forge connections.

Through clashes and quiet compromises, Conny and Tazuki cultivate a tempered respect. Tazuki’s guarded demeanor softens as Conny prods him to confront emotional wounds, while Conny finds an anchor in Tazuki’s reluctant yet steadfast guardianship, shaping an unconventional family forged in vulnerability and grit.
