Mukumuku is a baku, a supernatural creature that feeds on human nightmares. He lives with and is cared for by Daichi Tachiaki, forming a core human-creature relationship. His appearance blends elements of a tapir and a large, fluffy guinea pig. Blue covers his front and rear sections, while his white torso features a distinctive blue star on each side. This fluffy, rounded physique defines his look.
Behaviorally, Mukumuku displays cat-like independence. He approaches others on his own terms and avoids disturbance when seeking solitude.
