Description
Talgia Hawkray served as a royal bodyguard before the series began, holding responsibility within the kingdom's military. This role brought him into direct conflict with Bazra Bearmors, who would later succeed him as general. Protecting the realm and its people defined Talgia's earlier years.

He eventually retired to a frontier village, becoming guardian and grandfather to Rin, Mel, and Al. He provided a home for the siblings, fostering their growth away from the capital's conflicts. His relationship with his grandchildren was central, particularly his support for Rin's dream of singing at the capital.

Talgia confronted Bazra in a duel to stop the man's ruthless ambitions. During the fight, Bazra used a concealed technological device created by Dr. Weissen to gain an unfair advantage. This resulted in Talgia sustaining severe burns to his right arm, leaving him permanently impaired until Rin later healed the damage with her Song of Healing.

When Bazra attacked the village to capture Rin for her song powers, Talgia fought valiantly to protect his family and home. Despite his efforts, the village was destroyed by fire during the assault. Both Talgia and his granddaughter Mel perished defending them, victims of Bazra's pursuit of power.

Talgia's legacy endured through his grandson Al, who inherited his sense of justice and protective instincts. Al later collaborated with Henry Leobolt – a knight Talgia had previously influenced – to finally defeat Bazra. Following the restoration of peace, a memorial featuring Henry Leobolt's ancestral sword was established to honor the sacrifices of Talgia and others who died resisting Bazra's tyranny, symbolizing their enduring impact on the kingdom's history.
