Reki Setsuyo (Li Xueyang in the original Chinese context) is a human character central to the Sunayuki Chapter, corresponding to the series' first season.

In her past life, she was the formidable "Ice General," a military commander in the human-spirit conflicts. During this era, she formed a deep romance with Han Unhi (Fan Yunfei), prince of the Xixiyu region and a sand fox spirit. They sealed their love with a "Pledge of Love" at the Kuqing Tree, using the powerful Thousand-Year Imperial Water Pearl, an artifact controlling water, as their token.

Reincarnated, Reki now works as a kindergarten teacher. Initially retaining no memories of her past life or connection to Fan Yunfei, she rejects his persistent marriage proposals ninety-nine times as he strives to rekindle their bond across lifetimes.
