Description
Tosan Suusu serves as the primary female protagonist, a young fox spirit striving to become a respected matchmaker. She has long golden-orange hair tied in a loose ponytail, green eyes, distinctive fox ears, and one prominent cowlick. Her early attire is a white top with trousers under a pink and purple overlayer, later shifting to a red and white dress mirroring her past identity, complete with bell-adorned anklets.

She is the reincarnation of Tushan Honghong, former queen of the Tushan clan and leader of the Spirit Union. Honghong sacrificed her spirit energy, memories, and physical stature through a "Pledge of Love" with her human lover, Dongfang Yuechu, transforming into Suusu. Before this sacrifice, a traumatic childhood event defined Honghong: she mistakenly killed a young Daoist attempting to free her and her sister Rongrong from captivity, scarring her emotionally and fueling her dream of uniting humans and spirits—a goal later advanced by Dongfang Yuechu.

Suusu’s kind-hearted, optimistic personality contrasts sharply with Honghong’s. Persistently hardworking despite ridicule for clumsiness and perceived incompetence, she practices magic diligently and studies nightly to validate her matchmaking skills. She resists an arranged marriage urged by her sister Yaya to retain her magical abilities. Her experiences alongside Bai Yuechu—Dongfang Yuechu’s fifth reincarnation and her fated partner—steadily enhance her confidence and capabilities, rendering her more resourceful and synchronized with him during missions.

Her abilities include wielding the "Chunai Tianpian" (Book of Pure Love), an 800-year-old sacred matchmaking tome once owned by Honghong. Severed by Bai Yuechu’s tear blade, the book remains functional. She employs tools like the "Reincarnation Camera" to view distant events or others’ thoughts and "Recollections of Love" spells to project memories. Her "Invincible Claws" allow contact with magically protected objects, including volatile artifacts like the Tears of the Void. Conversely, her cooking produces disastrously inedible meals that even Bai Yuechu reluctantly consumes.

Crucially, Suusu can temporarily revert to Honghong’s form by kissing Bai Yuechu or ingesting his blood, though these transformations require external energy sources like Yaoli. In this state, she adopts Honghong’s taller, more voluptuous physique with red eyes and exhibits a confident, assertive personality distinct from both her past and present selves. These episodes reveal clearer romantic feelings toward Bai Yuechu and fragmented memories from her past life, though full recollection of her existence as Honghong remains elusive. This duality underscores her struggle to reconcile her current identity with her legacy.

Her relationship with Bai Yuechu evolves from dependency to partnership, marked by affectionate teasing and collaborative efforts to reunite past-life couples. Her sisters, Yaya and Rongrong, alternately challenge and support her: Yaya doubts her identity and capabilities, while Rongrong subtly aids her growth. Pressured by clan expectations to regain Honghong’s power, Suusu remains steadfast in forging her own path as a matchmaker.
