Description
Tushan Yaya serves as a deuteragonist, initially the younger sister of Tushan Honghong before ascending to Queen of Tushan and Leader of the Spirit Union after Honghong's transformation into the weaker Tushan Susu due to expended spirit energy. This made her Tushan's most powerful fox spirit.

She possesses a tall, youthful figure with light skin, maroon eyes that shift red when angered or intimidating, and dark brown hair. In childhood, she wore red and white sleeveless attire. As an adult, she adopted a similar design featuring a furry collar and large scarf, initially red before switching to blue upon Honghong's comment that red did not suit her. She frequently carries the Endless Gourd, a vessel that amplifies her power when she drinks wine from it.

Her personality matured significantly. Youthful traits included rudeness, childishness, and extended periods of boredom, often sleeping over ten days. She intensely idolized Honghong, emulating her fighting style and demeanor despite being told it was unsuitable. As an adult, she developed a commanding, stoic presence, rarely expressing emotion except when angered, endangered, or confronted with Honghong. She prefers intimidation to enforce compliance and communicates through Tushan's Thousand-Mile Communication rather than speech, maintaining Honghong's methods.

Key relationships drive her development. Her devotion to Honghong borders on worship, viewing her as perfect and blaming Dongfang Yuechu for Honghong's disappearance. Reunions with Honghong provoke intense emotional reactions, including lowered guard leading to injury. Her interactions with Susu are conflicted: she harbors hope Susu is Honghong while simultaneously deeming her "useless" and blaming her for Honghong's absence, leading to cold treatment and near-fatal confrontations. Over time, she begrudgingly respects Susu's autonomy after witnessing her protectiveness and Bai Yuechu's threats of self-destruction to defend Susu's wishes. She shares implicit trust with Rongrong, relying on her for administration and strategic counsel, often lending her spiritual power.

Her dynamic with Dongfang Yuechu and his reincarnations is complex. She considered Dongfang both a friend and traitor after his departure from Tushan centuries ago, confronting him before his duel with Honghong and remaining unsatisfied with his explanations. She later accepted Honghong's sacrifice was voluntary but continued to view Dongfang's reincarnations, particularly Bai Yuechu, as obstacles to Honghong's return. She aggressively pushes Bai Yuechu and Susu into marriage to accelerate Dongfang's full reincarnation, though Bai's defiance forces compromises monitored through blood samples tracking emotional progress. Non-reciprocated romantic admirers include Tushan Meimei (later Zuoshi), whose betrayal stemmed from her dismissiveness, and figures like Wang Fugui's father and Third Master of Aolai.

Historically, she trained alongside Honghong and Dongfang 500 years prior, teaching Dongfang fox spirit arts. After Dongfang's departure and death, she dedicated herself to uniting humans and yaoguai, tied to Honghong's dream. Over centuries, she pursued Dongfang's reincarnations—such as Pingqiu Yuechu—to marry Susu, often resorting to lethal threats when refused. She defended Tushan against invasions, notably freezing the Northern Emperor Shi Kuan during Zuoshi's attack.

Her combat abilities center on ice magic refined to Absolute Zero, enabling her to freeze even Bai Yuechu's Void Tears. She wields the Endless Gourd to augment her power, performs long-range magic searches, and utilizes Heavenly Magnification to increase her size tenfold temporarily. Though capable of employing Pure Yang Flame learned from Dongfang, she avoids it. Her nine-tailed fox transformation unleashes full power, typically activated after drinking wine.
