Description
Madam Mumblechook presides as headmistress of Endor College, a school dedicated to witchcraft education. Initially revered as a benevolent leader cherished by students and staff, her true nature surfaces over time. Her past reveals a stark transformation; she once demonstrated genuine care, such as tending an injured pupil with kindness. This changed when her student Charlotte discovered the Fly-by-Night flower on campus and shared it with her and colleague Doctor Dee.

Obsession with the flower's properties consumed Madam Mumblechook and Doctor Dee, driving them to conduct experiments aimed at transforming humans into witches possessing unlimited magical power. Their initial attempts ended catastrophically, prompting Charlotte to flee with the flower to halt its misuse. Madam Mumblechook deployed foot soldiers transformed into metallic birds to retrieve Charlotte, but these efforts failed.

When Mary Smith arrived at Endor College, Madam Mumblechook initially offered warm hospitality, believing Mary a legitimate student. She toured the college with Mary, introduced her to Doctor Dee, and praised Mary's apparent magical talents. This demeanor vanished upon learning Mary's abilities originated from the Fly-by-Night flower. This revelation triggered manipulation: Madam Mumblechook covertly obtained Peter’s address from Mary and later kidnapped him. She issued an ultimatum to Mary, demanding the flower bulbs in exchange for Peter’s safety.

Her actions intensified as she sought the flower's power for renewed transformation experiments. During one experiment involving Peter, she voiced grandiose ambitions of turning students into powerful witches and warlocks capable of changing the world. When the experiment spiraled out of control, she attempted containment using the stolen Master Spells book. This backfired, causing an unstable magical entity to absorb her powers, leaving her severely weakened and unconscious.

Madam Mumblechook wielded water-based attacks, ensnaring Peter with a watery appendage, and manipulated metal, summoning metallic birds to pursue Mary. Her reliance on the Master Spells book highlighted her dependence on external magical knowledge.

Her relationship with Doctor Dee defined her endeavors; they operated as co-conspirators bound by shared obsession. Conversely, her alliance with Charlotte dissolved entirely after Charlotte's defection, cementing their enmity. Mary Smith and Peter became her primary antagonists due to their interference.

Following the experiment's collapse and her consequent power loss, Madam Mumblechook escaped the disintegrating laboratory alongside Doctor Dee. Their final depicted moment shows them surrounded by freed animals, their ultimate fate undisclosed.
