TV-Series
Description
Miwako Honda is the homeroom teacher for class 5-1 at Takatomi Elementary School, where her students include Gou Kurumada and Kasumi Haruno—both of whom lead secret lives as members of the Mobile Rescue Police.
She has shoulder-length brown hair and purple eyes, which she accents with red-framed glasses. She typically wears a low-cut pink short-sleeve top and a white skirt.
Miwako possesses a strict but warm personality and shows deep care for her students’ safety. During a school trip to a lumber manufacturing facility, when Beaver Walker Vehicles are hijacked by an Evil AI and go out of control, she acts quickly to usher all her students onto the bus for safety. Unknowingly, her actions trap the drivers inside the compromised vehicles, preventing them from responding to the emergency.
She remains entirely unaware that some of her students routinely leave class to pilot Drive Head rescue robots. She often accepts Gou Kurumada’s excuses to step out, assuming he simply needs frequent bathroom breaks.
Her name, Miwako, is written with the characters for "look," "peace," and "child," while her surname, Honda, uses the characters for "source" and "field."
She appears across the original television series, the subsequent original net animation, and the movie, consistently serving in a supporting role as a teacher.
