Description
Nfirea Bareare, often referred to as N'Firea, is a highly skilled pharmacist and alchemist from the city of E-Rantel in the world of Overlord. Orphaned at a young age, he was raised by his grandmother Lizzie Bareare, a renowned apothecary, who took him as her apprentice and taught him everything she knew about herbs, alchemy, and potion-making. Nfirea grew up to become famous in the city for his rare talent and technical ability, earning a reputation as a genius apothecary. He is a young man with short, bowl-cut blonde hair that covers part of his face, and he typically wears ragged work clothes from his potion-making workshop.

By nature, Nfirea is described as a nice, calm, and timid person. He works hard at his craft every day alongside his grandmother. Despite his skill, he suffers from a minor inferiority complex, often comparing himself unfavorably to Ainz Ooal Gown. His motivations are rooted in a genuine desire to help others through his medicinal expertise and to support those he cares about, particularly his childhood friend and eventual wife, Enri Emmot. He met Enri while delivering potions to Carne Village and developed romantic feelings for her.

Nfirea's role in the story evolves from a local pharmacist into a key resident of Carne Village under the protection of Ainz. He plays an important part in the village's development, using his alchemical knowledge to produce potions and medicines that benefit the community. His relationship with Enri deepens over time, and they eventually marry, further tying him to the village. Later in the narrative, he and his grandmother succeed in recreating Yggdrasil's red potion, a significant achievement that demonstrates his growing mastery and contributes to Ainz's broader plans.

In terms of notable abilities, Nfirea is an exceptional alchemist and pharmacist, capable of crafting potent potions and remedies. He also has some knowledge of magic, as seen with spells such as Acid Arrow, Hypnotism, and Reinforce Armor, which he can employ when necessary. His development is marked by a gradual increase in confidence and responsibility, moving from a timid apprentice to a respected figure in his own right, though he remains humble and dedicated to his work. His key relationships include his grandmother Lizzie, who mentored him; Enri Emmot, his partner and emotional anchor; and Ainz, whom he admires but also feels inadequate next to. Through these connections and his own efforts, Nfirea grows both as a person and as an alchemist within the unfolding events of the series.
