Description
Bewan, chief adviser to Heartland’s king, weaves intricate political schemes to erode royal authority. He imprisons the princess in a glass tower, manipulates defenses against the Colossus threat, and plots to usurp the throne by deliberately allowing the king’s giant robots to fail before deploying his own. His machinations culminate in sabotaging the realm’s final battle against the Colossus, unleashing a destructive curse via his cell phone to ensure chaos.

In reality, Ichiro Watanabe, a Shijima Motors executive, ruthlessly pursues proprietary self-driving technology created by Kokone’s parents. Utilizing illegal tactics, he frames her father for espionage, orchestrates police crackdowns, and hunts a critical software-loaded tablet. Though devoid of personal vendetta, his actions aim to secure the company’s dominance by showcasing autonomous vehicles at the Tokyo Olympics.

Both personas wield technology and manipulation to assert control—Bewan through overt conquest, Watanabe via corporate ambition. Their parallel narratives contrast Heartland’s political intrigue with real-world corporate greed, maintaining their roles as unrelenting antagonists focused solely on immediate goals. The spin-off *Ancien and the Magic Tablet: Another Princess* offers no expansion on their backgrounds or motives.
