Description
Yoshito Kimura is a male student in the same grade as Erika Shinohara. He first intervenes when Erika faces bullying, presenting himself as friendly and approachable. He subsequently accompanies her on a date, showing attentiveness. However, his actions are driven by a desire for revenge against Kyouya Sata; Yoshito specifically targets Erika due to her association with Kyouya because his former girlfriend left him for Kyouya. He aims to manipulate Erika's feelings as retribution.
His plan to make Erika genuinely fall for him fails. During an interaction, Yoshito insults Erika by calling her "cheap," causing her significant distress. This provokes a confrontation where Kyouya physically assaults Yoshito over the insult. Following this, Yoshito's appearances become infrequent. Later developments note he entered a relationship with another girl, moving on from his grudge against Kyouya.
In the live-action film adaptation, Yoshito Kimura does not appear. His narrative role, including the motivation to pursue Erika for revenge against Kyouya, is incorporated into the character Nozomi Kamiya, resulting in the absence of his original storyline.
His given name, Yoshito, combines the kanji for "good/virtuous" (良) and "person" (人), while his surname, Kimura, means "tree/wood" (木) and "village" (村), contrasting with his deceptive behavior. Yoshito remains a minor character with no further development beyond his early narrative role.
