Gabo-chan serves as a main kaiju character in the 1996 anime film *Ultraman Company: This is the Ultraman (Wacky) Investigation Team*. The character joins the investigation after the theft of the Moyamoya statue from a department store event hall. When the stolen statue is exposed as a counterfeit and the authentic one traced to Peropero Island, Gabo-chan accompanies Ultra-kun and the team to recover it. On the island, the group obtains an ancient manuscript from the Godo tribe leader, containing vital clues to unseal the statue. During this mission, Gabo-chan engages in confrontations against Dr. Yango, who pursues the statue for personal gain, and Princess Zara, whose soul is controlled by a demon.
