Description
Sora Ryuuyō holds the mantle of the blue Sword Eyes of Light. Working as a droid mechanic in Atlantia, he shares a home with his younger brother Long. His distinctive look includes a shaven head adorned with a brown braid, a facial scar, and attire of blue clothing, an orange belt, a white jacket, and black wristbands.

He exhibits a serious and responsible personality, deeply committed to his village's well-being. Sora harbors significant distrust towards royals and their droids, often weaving themes of love into his battle dialogue. He also possesses a notable preference for sweets, a trait that later influences the plot.

In the anime, Tsurugi Tatewaki seeks Sora's expertise to repair the damaged droid Bringer. Bound by his village's anti-Atlantian droid stance, Sora initially refuses. However, defeat in a card battle against Tsurugi compels him to assist. He then joins Tsurugi's quest, utilizing an airship he constructed for travel. A pivotal confrontation occurs when Sora battles Rirove (purple Sword Eyes of Darkness) over the mistreatment of Suou, Rirove's artificial creation. Though Sora triumphs, he fails to alter Rirove's ways.

Later captured alongside Haqua (white Sword Eyes of Light), Sora suffers brainwashing by antagonists. Under this control, he is forced to issue challenges to Kolga Village residents, defeating 99 opponents before falling to Hagakure (green Sword Eyes of Light). This loss, combined with Hagakure invoking Sora's former ideals, begins fracturing the brainwashing. Kizakura (yellow Sword Eyes of Light) ultimately shatters the control entirely by offering intensely spicy cookies, exploiting Sora's sweet tooth to trigger a sensory shock that restores his true self.

He participates in the ritual to summon the Sword of Judgment, engaging Brau (blue Sword Eyes of Darkness) in battle. During the final conflict against Garudos, Sora provides Tsurugi with crucial cards (The Fighter of Light Randall and The Warrior of Light Gaius) and focuses on diverting enemy Stinger droids. The anime concludes with Sora and Long maintaining their transport business.

The manga streamlines his introduction: Sora repairs Bringer without requiring a duel and immediately allies with Tsurugi and Kizakura following a confrontation with Zardo. The epilogue similarly depicts him journeying onward with the Sword Eyes of Light.

His card deck utilizes blue light attributes. Key cards across media include spirits such as The BattleRadiantGod Soldnerg, The AzureOceanGreatSword Maelstrom, The Fighter of Light Randall, and The Warrior of Light Gaius, alongside various nexus and magic cards like The Lit Three-Pronged Lighthouse and Mercury Goblet.
