Description
Tomonori Takizawa played a critical role in securing the Regeneratable Artificial Nerve (RAN), an experimental technology targeted by the French corporation Auber. On August 1, 2026, during a visit to the Eastern Defense Academy, he sought to transfer RAN’s custody to instructor Kimiko Kamiya, aiming to shield it from adversaries. This effort was abruptly halted when Trident, a mercenary force hired by Auber, stormed the academy. The attack claimed numerous lives—including students—and left both Takizawa and Kimiko fatally wounded.

Mortally injured, Takizawa secured RAN’s future by entrusting it to Touko Natori, a surviving student, thwarting Trident’s acquisition. His decision inadvertently spurred the creation of the Basket Army, a student-led resistance forced to combat Trident while evading authorities amid false public accusations of terrorism.

The clash at Fuji Training Grounds ignited the protracted struggle between the Basket Army and Trident. Though Takizawa’s direct participation ended with his death, his final act—shifting RAN’s burden to the students—cemented his legacy as a linchpin in the conflict’s origins, shaping the narrative’s trajectory without further documented personal or historical elaboration.
