Description
Kazuki Kurobe is a 14-year-old middle school student at Japan's Eastern Private Defense Academy. He has brown hair, grey eyes, stands 1.70 meters tall, and has blood type A.

Kurobe possesses a strong-willed personality marked by intense self-confidence and an absolute refusal to back down. He hates losing and operates under the conviction that he cannot die, driving him to risk his life for others without hesitation. A peer interprets this as the behavior of a poor loser who believes himself immortal.

During Trident mercenaries' August 2026 attack on the Fuji Training Facility, which killed their instructor and several classmates, Kurobe becomes involved in protecting the Regeneratable Artificial Nerve (RAN) experiment. He joins the desperate escape efforts alongside other survivors, personally carrying the container labeled "Japan's future" during part of the retreat.

Kurobe holds particular trust in the group's leader, Touko Natori, maintaining steadfast faith in her ability to guide them to success. This loyalty is clearly demonstrated during their coordinated combat operations.

In combat, Kurobe primarily wields firearms, including an M4 carbine and a Heckler & Koch USP pistol. He employs tactical maneuvers like firing controlled bursts from cover. He survived an encounter where an opponent grazed his side with a bullet from a Colt Single Action Army revolver.

Following the attack, the surviving students form the Basket Army to protect the RAN technology, clear their names after being falsely accused of terrorism, and evade both Trident and pursuing authorities. Kurobe remains an active member of this group throughout their subsequent operations.
