Bruto, known as Akaoni in the original Japanese, serves as a primary antagonist. His design evokes red trolls of Japanese folklore, featuring red skin, horns, fangs, pointed ears, and a towering stature. He wears coarse brown cloth, a tiger-skin tunic, leather belts, spiked wristbands, and brown boots, wielding a metal club or staff. Bruto embodies brutality and physical force, maintaining a somewhat serious demeanor yet displaying immaturity and carelessness, especially with technology. He frequently mishandles or discards Brooha's inventions, earning her reprimands. He habitually targets the timid, crybaby Glitter Peace, attempting to belittle or intimidate her, though these confrontations consistently end in his defeat. His relationships include antagonizing Brooha by disrupting her work, sharing interests like giant robots with Ulric, and relentlessly bullying Glitter Peace. Originally a pixie named Rufus, he faced mistreatment as a fairy-tale villain character. Rascal transformed him into Bruto to serve Emperor Nogo in the Shadow Realm. As one of Nogo's three main commanders, Bruto's task is gathering dark energy to revive the emperor. His methods involve using the Black Paint of Darkness on a blank page in his Picture Book of Darkness, altering reality into a dark dimension that drains people's will to generate Bad Energy. He also creates Buffoon monsters using Red Noses containing fragments of Glitter Charms. Bruto's story spans both seasons. He initiates attacks early in Season 1, becoming the second commander to confront the protagonists after Ulric. He alternates duties with Ulric and Brooha, attacking individually or alongside them. A recurring motif involves his accidental disposal of Brooha's inventions, which often fall into the Glitter Force's possession. Near Season 1's end, Glitter Peace defeats him, though he survives. In Season 2, he attacks Glitter Peace while separated from her team but is overpowered by the full Glitter Force. His story concludes in the final episode when Glitter Lucky purifies him, reverting him to his original pixie form, Rufus.
