Physically, he presented the image of an aged man sporting a bald head, greying eyebrows, and a mustache, typically seen in traditional Japanese attire or battle armor. Despite his stern demeanor and fearsome reputation, a hidden kindness and profound loyalty lay beneath, reserved for those he cherished.
His personality blended sharp political cunning with a capacity for gentleness, particularly directed toward Oda Nobuna, whom he viewed as a daughter after her father's passing. This deep bond led him to name Nobuna his heir, bypassing his biological son Saitou Yoshitatsu, and form a strategic alliance with the Oda clan.
