TV-Series
Description
Kanade Amou formed half of the idol duo Zwei Wing with Tsubasa Kazanari. At age fourteen, Noise killed her family during a relic excavation, leading Section Two to recruit her. She endured traumatic medical procedures involving forced LiNKER injections to achieve compatibility with the relic Gungnir. This required dangerous overdoses, causing severe physical strain like vomiting blood, but allowed her to wield the Symphogear system. Her combat focus initially centered solely on revenge against the Noise.

Gradually, Kanade forged a deep partnership with Tsubasa and embraced her role as an idol, discovering purpose in sharing music to inspire others. Two years later, during a Zwei Wing concert, Noise attacked the audience. Kanade intervened to save a civilian, Hibiki Tachibana, suffering critical damage to her Symphogear armor. With systems failing, she activated her Superb Song "Gungnir," annihilating the surrounding Noise. This act disintegrated her body completely. A fragment of her Gungnir relic embedded itself in Hibiki's chest during the event, later granting Hibiki Symphogear abilities.

Kanade continued to influence events after death. She appeared in Tsubasa's dreams and memories, offering crucial guidance during crises, emphasizing themes of moving forward and rejecting despair. The mobile game "XD Unlimited" explored alternate timelines where Tsubasa died instead. In one such scenario, consumed by vengeance, Kanade abandoned her idol career until interactions helped her heal. She later mentored a parallel version of Serena Cadenzavna Eve and briefly wielded a second relic, Brisingamen, combining it with Gungnir for amplified power.

Physically, Kanade possessed long red hair, dark red eyes, and stood 169 cm tall. Her casual wear featured a green sleeveless shirt and denim shorts. Her Zwei Wing performance costume was a pink dress with a coral bow, a wing motif on the bustle, and a light pink scarf. Manga adaptations depicted a wing-shaped tattoo on her back.

Her Symphogear, SG-r03 Gungnir, manifested as stark white, black, and orange armor offering more coverage than Hibiki's version. It generated a lance as its Armed Gear. Her attacks bore astronomical names like "Stardust Foton" and "Last Meteor." Activation demanded the chant "Croitzal ronzell Gungnir zizzl." Due to negligible natural compatibility, she relied entirely on LiNKER for transformations, unlike other users. Her battle songs belonged to the J-pop genre.

Kanade shared a profound bond with Tsubasa, helping her overcome emotional barriers through their partnership. Her final words to Tsubasa referenced post-performance hunger. She interacted directly with Hibiki only during her sacrificial act, urging her to survive. This act indirectly established Hibiki as her successor via the Gungnir fragment.

Trivia notes list her July 28 birthday, Leo zodiac sign, and initial concept as a blonde character. Her attacks carried astronomical names. Her surname "Amou" translates to "heavenly wings," while "Kanade" means "to play music."
