Description
Hailing from a Prison Planet, Muginami considers Villagulio, prince of the antagonistic De Metrio, an older brother despite no blood relation. Following his orders, she infiltrates Earth's Pharos facility to steal the advanced orange Vox Unit, Vox Ignis, later nicknaming it Hupo. This mission places her in Kamogawa Girls' High School and the Jersey Club alongside Madoka Kyouno.

Muginami presents a cheerful, seemingly slow-witted exterior, yet conceals sharp perceptiveness and intellect beneath this facade. She frequently teases others, especially fellow Vox pilot Lan, and adopts "Kashikomari~" ("Understood" or "Roger that!") as her verbal trademark. Her diverse skills include expertise as a lifeguard, martial artist, and waitress, demonstrated when she performs CPR and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation on Lan during a swimming incident.

Her loyalty shifts dramatically after Villagulio betrays and abandons her for claiming Vox Ignis. Spurred by this betrayal, she solidifies her bond with Madoka and Lan, fully embracing the Jersey Club's spirit of mutual support. She later departs Earth temporarily with Villagulio after a confrontation but returns in the second season. Rejoining the Jersey Club, she reaffirms her commitment to protecting friends and rejects fighting loved ones. During this period, her Vox Unit, Hupo, develops an energy cape used defensively.

Muginami's journey intertwines with the Vox Units' broader mythology, where legends depict them as demonic entities capable of catastrophic destruction. She grapples with internal conflicts over her past allegiance to De Metrio and her found family on Earth, navigating tensions from interplanetary politics while striving to build lasting relationships between opposing factions. Her path reflects themes of reconciliation and the enduring impact of past choices.
