Description
Noriki is a student of Musashi Ariadust Academy who works constantly at part-time jobs to support his large family. Taciturn and blunt, he is a hardened individual with a serious expression and sturdy looks, possessing violet hair and grey eyes. He wears a modified Far East uniform featuring a short-sleeved, open jacket with nothing underneath but bandages wrapping his torso and wrists.
His background stems from a political arrangement within the Houjou clan. Nearly two decades before the main events, the wives of the clan leader and one of his human retainers were both pregnant. They agreed that if the leader’s child was male, the retainer’s child would become his wife and inherit the princess’s name. However, the leader’s child, Houjou Ujinao, was born female, and the retainer’s child, Noriki, was born male. This mismatch broke the trust between the retainer and the clan, prompting most humans to depart. Noriki’s father eventually abandoned his identity in a foreign land, expanded his family, and committed suicide once Ujinao officially inherited her name. Noriki, unable to inherit the name Tokuhime, retained a portion of those circumstances in his own name, which can be interpreted as “embarking departurer” or “embarking princess.” Before leaving aboard the Musashi as a child, he was a good friend of Houjou Ujinao.
In combat, Noriki specializes in physical attack-based abilities centered on a “three-hit knockout” concept. His original abilities include Yayoizuki, which nullifies the target’s defenses on the next hit; Kisaragi, which makes his next attack impossible to evade; and Mutsuki, which uses successful hits from Yayoizuki and Kisaragi as offerings to guarantee his next attack instantly knocks out the target regardless of its strength. The challenge lies in landing the first two hits, as opponents often defend themselves after being struck. His fighting stance resembles boxing, and he is one of the few in his class who engages in fights using his bare hands.
