Description
Cthugha, also called Kuuko or Kūko, is a female extraterrestrial from the planet Cthugha. Her species traditionally opposes the Nyarlathotepians, fueling inherent conflict with her deep affection for Nyaruko, a Nyarlathotepian. This romantic attraction is considered shameful among Cthughans, leading Kuuko to conceal her feelings from her family by falsely presenting Mahiro Yasaka as her fiancé.

In human form, she appears as a teenage girl with flowing red twintails reaching her waist, pale skin, and striking red eyes. She typically wears a standard school uniform featuring a light blue coat with white accents, a pink bow tie, and black knee-length socks.

Kuuko exhibits a reserved and stoic demeanor, frequently blushing in social interactions. However, she displays overt perversion, particularly toward Nyaruko, and possesses a strong obsession with otaku culture and video games. This passion led her to become a NEET after high school, though she later secured a position as a Space Defense Agency agent through her uncle's connections in the agency's human resources department.

Her relationships are complex and evolve significantly. As Nyaruko's childhood friend from space kindergarten and elementary school, Kuuko maintains intense, unreciprocated romantic feelings for her. Initially hostile toward Mahiro due to jealousy over Nyaruko's affections for him, she gradually develops a friendship with him. Her aspirations shift toward forming a family unit with both Mahiro and Nyaruko.

Kuuko wields potent fire-based powers, including pyrokinesis, heat manipulation, and control over "Space CQC" turrets or drones that emit lasers. Her combat abilities are roughly equivalent to Nyaruko's.

Her character development shows progression from initial antagonism to integration. After transferring to Mahiro's school and adopting the name Kūko Yasaka—positioning herself as Nyaruko's "wife"—she eventually moves into Mahiro's household. This proximity facilitates her transition from animosity toward Mahiro to mutual respect and friendship, solidifying her role within their unconventional dynamic.
