Prince Nataku, the War God Prince, was engineered through genetic fusion of youkai and god DNA under Li Touten's command. Countless failed golden-eyed heretical beasts called Natakus preceded his stable humanoid form. Touten presented him as his son and weaponized him as Heaven's inaugural War God, granting him unique authority to kill where other gods were forbidden, earning him the moniker "Killing Puppet" among celestials. Despite comprehending his role as a tool, Nataku maintained pragmatic acceptance. He harbored intense disdain for Heaven's political schemes yet felt powerless against his father's directives. Widespread fear and scorn over his golden heretic's eyes and lethal nature enforced his isolation. Beyond official duties, he indulged childlike curiosity, exploring Heaven's hidden corners and executing pranks like drawing nose hairs on the Jade Emperor, revealing suppressed individuality. His relationship with Son Goku proved pivotal. Meeting during a prank, their mutual age and playful humor forged an immediate bond—Goku offered Nataku his first genuine friendship without agenda. After Nataku sustained grave injuries defeating the Great Youkai Gyumaoh, Goku's steadfast presence during recovery deepened their connection. Nataku promised to show Goku Heaven's secret places, symbolizing his longing for companionship. However, Li Touten later commanded Nataku to eliminate Goku as a "heretical rival." Trapped between obedience and loyalty, Nataku confronted Goku in the Jade Emperor's court but faltered. Unable to kill his friend or defy his father, he severed his own life threads with his sword. Post-mortem, Nataku's body was preserved in Touten's secret lab. Though physically healed, he existed catatonic, seated in Heaven's divine garden under Kanzeon Bosatsu's care, his mind detached, implied to await someone's return. Later, he reappeared as an amnesiac weapon targeting youkai indiscriminately. During a clash between Sanzo and Kougaiji, he nearly killed Kougaiji's ally Dokugakuji. Confronted by Goku—who sensed familiarity but recalled nothing—Nataku showed no recognition before departing. Physically resembling a young boy, Nataku possessed gold or violet eyes and dark hair shifting between black and purple. He wore ornate white robes with gold accents and a distinctive hexagonal chakra, his childlike appearance starkly contrasting his lethal reputation.
