Consumed by ambition to reclaim power, he resorted to forbidden experiments, blending god and demon blood to create Nataku. He intended to position this artificial being as Heaven's War Prince, a plan requiring the elimination of rivals like the heretic Goku, another potential candidate. He presents a deceptively harmless exterior while concealing profound greed, ambition, and ruthlessness. Li Touten shows no mercy to obstacles and manipulates others, especially Nataku, to climb Heaven's hierarchy. He publicly claims Nataku as his son, yet views him solely as a political instrument. Physically, Li Touten possesses a dark complexion, violet eyes marked with red chakra, and dreadlocks, sharing no likeness with Nataku. He typically wears an open-chested black robe. During a climactic clash with Goku, he suffers a grievous wound when Goku, transformed into Seiten Taisen, tears out his right eye. Afterwards, he is often depicted with bandages covering the injury and using a cane. His pivotal moment occurs in the Jade Emperor's Palace. Ordering Nataku to publicly execute Goku shocks both targets, triggering Goku's violent assault. As Goku attacks Li Touten, Nataku intervenes, vowing to kill anyone harming his "father."
