Prince Hydron, son of King Zenoheld, initially holds the titles of Vestal's prince, commander of the Vexos, and ruler of New Vestroia. His driving goal in the first story arc is to complete his collection of petrified Bakugan statues, specifically targeting five of the Six Soldiers: Blade Tigrerra, Hammer Gorem, Preyas, Storm Skyress, and Alpha Hydranoid, with the ultimate aim of adding Drago. Early portrayals present him as arrogant, entitled, and callous. He frequently dismisses others as "spoiled brats" and exhibits ruthlessness in battle, exemplified when he injures Mira Fermin and declares, "Boy? Girl? All I see is brawler!" His leadership is impatient; he blames subordinates, especially Spectra Phantom, for failures and uses Lync Volan to spy for disloyalty. Despite this cruelty, he harbors a deep desire for validation from his father, who openly criticizes his leadership and dismisses his efforts. After the Vexos retreat from New Vestroia and the Resistance exposes Vestal's crimes, costing him his royal title, Hydron becomes the Vexos' Subterra brawler, replacing Gus Grav. He partners with Dryoid, a mechanical Bakugan created by Professor Clay, demonstrating significant brawling prowess despite lacking a Bakugan Trap. His tactics grow increasingly extreme; he employs Death Bombs to exile defeated opponents like Volt Luster and Lync Volan to other dimensions, revealing an inability to accept defeat and escalating instability. A pivotal shift occurs after enduring torture via the Agonizer at Zenoheld's command and subsequent imprisonment following a failed challenge against his father. Manipulated by Gus Grav into initiating a brawl, he escapes and allies with the Resistance to oppose Zenoheld. During the final confrontation, he uses Dryoid to destroy Zenoheld's Farbros, trapping his father within the Alternative Weapon System to ensure mutual destruction. His final words—"Volt... Lync... I'll be there... soon"—imply acceptance of his impending death alongside those he exiled. Hydron's relationship with Dryoid represents his sole display of genuine loyalty. He believes in its capabilities during battles and shows concern during their fight against Zenoheld, contrasting sharply with his otherwise transactional interactions. Minor traits include a habit of twirling his hair and wearing sunglasses after losing his princely status. His brawling record includes victories against Baron Leltoy and Lync Volan, a loss to Volt Luster, and a decisive win alongside the Resistance against Zenoheld in the final battle.
