Elico functions as the primary Aquos Bakugan partner to Mylene Farrow of the antagonistic Vexos group. He embodies pure strength and brute force, his design featuring defensive spikes on shoulders and knees. Six forearm blades serve both attack and defense, while six back-mounted tentacles can immobilize opponents by wrapping around limbs. A large golden diamond on his chest discharges powerful water blasts. Elico breathes underwater and excels in aquatic combat. Crucially, he unpredictably shifts between Aquos, Subterra, and Haos attributes during battles, forcing opponents into constant vigilance. His combat style leverages diverse ability cards reflecting his attribute shifts and tactical versatility. Key abilities include the Subterra card "Gaia Luze," resetting all Bakugan to base level while preventing opponent ability activation; Subterra "Arculus," subtracting 100 Gs from each opponent while granting him access to any attribute's power; Haos "Mythran Judge," adding 100 Gs to himself while subtracting 200 Gs from opponents and blocking their abilities; and his most potent technique, "Scramble Zwei," doubling his base power level while subtracting 400 Gs from the opponent when his power is lower. Video game depictions add abilities like "Venom Claw" for sustained damage and "Water Vortex" for multi-directional aquatic assaults. Elico debuts prominently in "Voices in the Night," effortlessly defeating Percival across three rounds by countering abilities and leveraging attribute shifts. Subsequent appearances show his personality shifting from initially placid to increasingly belligerent. Paired frequently with Hades, he suffers losses against Neo Dragonoid and Mega Nemus in "Beta City Blues" despite activating "Scramble Zwei," and again against Ingram and Elfin during "Underground Take Down" and "Wall To Wall Brawl" even with Hades utilizing Full Burst. A pivotal moment occurs during the battle between Dan and Spectra in "Final Countdown" when Elico verbally suggests assisting Spectra. This display of independent thought triggers Mylene's betrayal; she discards him alongside Volt's Mega Brontes, condemning them as flawed due to their emotional capacity. Following abandonment, Gus Grav recovers Elico and Mega Brontes. Subjected to the forbidden Chaos Ability X alongside Premo Vulcan, the trio undergoes forced evolution. Elico transforms into Blast Elico, exhibiting significant physical alterations: his six tentacles merge into a single large tail, three golden crystals replace the single chest diamond, shoulder blades broaden, fins spread across his head, and his mouth becomes obscured or absent. A Subterra variant features horn drills, drill-like arm fins, blue crystals, red eyes, and drill-shaped shoulder blades. Retaining his attribute-shifting capability, Blast Elico utilizes enhanced abilities like Aquos "Hydro Typhoon," transferring 300 Gs from opponents; "Subterra Force Alive," nullifying opponent Gate Cards while doubling team Subterra power; and Subterra "Gaia Divide." Blast Elico's development culminates in "Avenging Spectra" during a battle against Farbros alongside Rex Vulcan. After shifting to Subterra and gaining initial advantage using abilities like "Reflection Jacket" to copy opponent effects and "Forcement Power" for ability nullification, the tide turns when Farbros merges with the Assail System. Despite executing combined attacks like "Gaia Booster," Blast Elico sacrifices himself to intercept "Shadow Crowley," an attack directed at Gus. His final words—"You saved me once, so I'm merely returning the favor. It's the least I can do!"—confirm retention of his will and personality post-evolution before his destruction alongside Hexados.
