Description
Damesuke Marude is a 40-year-old Japanese man with black eyes and brown hair cut to ear length. After being terminated from his unspecified company, he kidnaps Mayumi Wakabayashi, his former boss's daughter, as retaliation. Initially portrayed as fundamentally incompetent and lacking a concrete plan, he acts on impulsive frustration. He waves a kitchen knife during the hostage situation but fumbles with it, revealing an inherent lack of violent capability.

He struggles with alcoholism, including prior treatment, a vulnerability exploited during the event. His parents appear, expressing dismay and stating he "wasn't always like this," implying perceived deterioration linked to his job loss and struggles.

His character transforms drastically due to newscaster Etsuko Yamanobe's intervention. Seeking sensational ratings, she deliberately manipulates his anger towards his former employer, leveraging his psychological instability and alcoholism. Her provocations directly incite him to sexually assault Mayumi Wakabayashi. Under Etsuko's direction, he escalates into violent acts, including rape broadcast publicly, culminating in the public assault of Mayumi on a balcony and other degrading acts.

His relationship with Mayumi is solely that of victim and captor. His interactions with his parents during the standoff highlight familial conflict. The dynamic with Etsuko is central; she exerts control over him, using his desperation and rage for her purposes, directly enabling his violent escalation. His depiction remains confined to the original OVA events.
