During an investigation into the Alma Trading Company, Major Hideomi Iba confronts Akimoto, deceiving him into revealing information about the Jaegers' operations.

Akimoto meets his end while attempting to warn Willard of an imminent vampire attack on the Jaegers' base. Mortally wounded during a vampire ambush at his bar, he manages to pass a written warning to Willard before succumbing to his injuries.
